***Fresh cranberry salad

* 2 cups white sugar

* 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice

* 1 banana, sliced

* 1 cup unsweetened whipped cream

DIRECTIONS

1. In a food processor or blender, coarsely grind the cranberries. Place ground cranberries in a large bowl and stir in the marshmallows, sugar and pineapple. Let mixture stand overnight in the refrigerator. Just before serving, stir in the sliced banana and whipped cream.

****Greek Salad

8oz(220g) of ripe cherry vine tomatoes

1 medium red onion (thinly sliced)

1 medium cucumber

5oz(150g) Light feta cheese

1 sprig of fresh oregano

12 pitted black olives (thinly sliced)

For the dressing:

3 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil

1 tbsp of red wine vinegar

1 garlic clove (chopped)

1 tsp of dried oregano

salt and ground pepper

Take the cucumber and using a speed-peeler remove the skin. Then half it length-ways, then half each piece length-ways again.

Take each piece and remove all of the watery centre part that contains the seeds. Then chop into equal sized 1cm wide chunks. Then place them in a large bowl.

Then take the thinly sliced onion and add it to the bowl taking care to separate the slices. Quarter the tomatoes and add them, along with the sliced olives and fresh oregano; combine together.

When your ready to serve the salad combine the dressing ingredients in a container with a tight lid, a jam jar is ideal. Shake vigorously to combine; the dressing should be emulsified when you've finished shaking. Check the dressing for seasoning and alter it to suit.

Add some of the dressing to the bowl and combine so that all the ingredients are covered in dressing; if needed add some more until your happy that everything is coated.

Any leftover dressing will keep in the fridge for several days, just remember to emulsify it each time you use it as over time it will separate.

Add the feta cheese last and gently combine. Then serve.

***Rocket Salad with Artichoke

Hearts.*

3oz(100g) of Rocket

2oz(50g) of pine nuts, lightly toasted

1 clove of garlic, finely chopped

2 x 400g tins of Artichoke hearts

juice of 1 lemon

fresh basil, torn

For the dressing:

3 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil

1 tbsp of white wine vinegar

freshly ground sea salt %26amp; white pepper

Take a dry frying pan and pour in your pine nuts, toast them lightly. When they're are done take them off the heat and pour them into a bowl to stop them going to dark, then set aside.

Wash your rocket in a bowl of cold water then put to one side and drain of any excess water.

Drain the artichokes hearts and rinse them in cold water; drain off any excess water and then chop them into quarters.

Combine the rocket, artichoke hearts, garlic and lemon juice in a large bowl. When your ready to serve the salad combine the ingredients for the dressing in a container with a lid (a jam jar is ideal), and shake vigorously to combine; the dressing should be emulsified when you've finished shaking. Check the dressing for seasoning and alter it to suit.

Add the dressing to the other ingredients a little at a time, until your happy that everything is coated. Any leftover dressing will keep in the fridge for several days, just remember to give it a good shake each time you use it as over time it will separate.

Add the torn basil leaves and gently combine with rest of the salad. Then serve.SOS!! i need some delicious salad recipes!?

enjoyy.
i use just regualr salad mix, and add anything i have in the house!! it can be really good or really bad. it depends on what you have in your house..........
This is the simplest and most delicious salad:

Only lettuce (any kind) - *maybe* add green onion but nothing else

1 part olive oil to 1 part balsamic vinegar

Salt - should be quite salty - not just a pinch or two

Pepper to taste

Toss lettuce with last three ingredients.

It takes about 2 minutes and it is so fresh and delicious.

Edit: You can also use slightly more olive oil than balsamic vinegar. For 1/2 head lettuce, use about 3 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons vinegar.
1, Put salad on plate.

2, (don't cook it).
Ohh I love salad!!!!! I guess you could just put some salad from the salad mixes add some cucumbers and tomatoes. Hope this helps!!! : D
here is one recipe i think you and your family would enjoy! its called tabouli

3 cups of finely chopped flat-leaf parsley

1/2 cup of finely chopped fresh mint

4 or 5 finely chopped spring onions (with the green parts)

4 ripe, medium size tomatoes, chopped into small cubes

1 cup of medium burghul (cracked wheat)

1/2 tsp allspice

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/2 jalapeno pepper, de-seeded, chopped fine (optional)

5 TBS good olive oil

Salt and Pepper

Chef's knife, chopping board, mixing bowl

Rinse burghul several times and then soak in cold water for about twenty minutes.

Chop the tomatoes (small dice).

Clean the parsley and remove the large stems (you want mostly leaves). Chop fine.

Put the burghul in a sieve to drain.

Trim the spring onions, and chop them into 1/4'; lengths.

Put the drained burghul and tomato in a large mixing or serving bowl. Add salt, pepper, allspice, lemon juice, olive oil, mint, parsley, and optional minced jalapeno.

Taste for seasoning. If too dry, you can add additional lemon juice.

Toss well. Tabouli benefits from resting - you can cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave in the refrigerator for a few hours or over night, tossing occasionally.

Serve with cabbage or lettuce leaves - scoop some tabouli into a leaf and enjoy
Little green gram sprouts,grated cucumber,grated carrot,chopped tomato,grated turnip,long thin slices of cabbage,(opt. onions)salt ,pepper powder,garnish with corriander leaves.
