We used to have pasta salad in high school with angel hair pasta, and it would have different veggies in it. But I was just wondering what type of dressing they used. I thought it was zesty italian but I'm not sure. It was kind of oily, I'm sure vinegar was used, and it was tangy. It was so good! Does anyone have any recipes like that? Thanks!Anyone have any pasta salad recipes?
the absolutely MOST delicious pasta salad i've ever had and made is easy as pie.
its tangy, herb like, and scrumptious!
and its simply club house pasta salad mix. i usually use two packets of it because i make a large amount, and i add black olives, feta cheese, red peppers, spinach, cucumbers and red onions. essentially a greek pasta salad.
the pasta salad powder packet is quite garlic and herblike and you add red wine vinegar and oil. now im hungry!Anyone have any pasta salad recipes?
Sweet pasta salad
1 pound rotini pasta
4 carrots, shredded
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, diced
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup white sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups mayonnaise
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In large bowl, combine pasta, carrot, green pepper and onion. In medium bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, condensed milk, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Toss salad with dressing and chill 4 hours in refrigerator before serving.
INGREDIENTS
2 (8 ounce) packages angel hair pasta
1/2 pound cooked bay shrimp
3/4 cup chopped green onions
1 1/2 cups ranch-style salad dressing
DIRECTIONS
Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water.
Mix together the pasta, shrimp, green onions and ranch dressing, then carefully work the shrimp into the pasta with your hands. (Note: As the salad sits, it will absorb some of the dressing; add a little dressing right before serving).
