Pasta-green- what type? I like a good pasta salad, but the problem I encounter is starchy so I found the success lies in the dressing. I mix a package of Italian dressing with just half the oil vinegar and water and add that to the pasta while it is still warm, then refrigerate then add what ever else. I like broccoli
again I like it slightly steamed the into an ice bath. when you finish with what ever else you desire to add, toss with a little more dressing.Anyone have any good salad recipes?? im want to try something diffrent?
Romain lettuce
baby spinach
dried cranberries
sliced red, yellow or orange bell pepper
almond slices
a balsamic vinegar salad dressing (';Newman's Own'; is a good brand)
I have no real set amount of how much of each ingredient I put in, it all depends on how many people you are serving or how much you like each ingredient.
and if you want to make a meal out of it add a salmon fillet to it.....
2 salmon fillets
juice from 1 lemon
salt and pepper to taste
3 cloves (crushed) garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
mix the last 4 ingredients in a bowl, put the salmon in a zip lock bag, add the sauce from the bowl into the bag and mix around. Put into the fridge for about 4 hours to marinate.
Then cook anyway you like, ie. oven (~350 degrees), stove top, BBQ.
Personally I think the BBQ is the best! The length of cooking time depends on the thickness of the fish. Usually 10-20 minutes....it is done when the fish flakes. But it will keep cooking when you take it off the heat, so try not to over cook the salmon, or it will be dry.
Now just put the salmon on the salad and serve with a lemon wedge!Anyone have any good salad recipes?? im want to try something diffrent?

1 bottle Berensteins Light Cheese Fantastico Dressing
1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped

FOR SALAD:
I just buy the pre-mixed bag stuff.
Add in: crumbled tortilla chips (1/4 cup)
Fiesta corn cold (1/4 cup)
Shredded Cheese (1/4 cup)
FOR CHICKEN:
Marinate chicken breast in tabasco for 2-4 hours. Then grill... this will make a spicy chicken breast.
Cut into strips and put on top of salad mixture.
FOR QUESADILLAS:
Take a large flour tortilla in skillet, put cheese (1/2 cup) on 1/2 of the tortilla, flip it in half, melt cheese. Cut into 4 quarters. Place around the plate at 12, 3, 6, 9 (like a clock).
